logpatterns - bcnu log agent configuration file
BCNUHOME/etc/logpatterns
logpatterns is the configuration file used by the log agent. An entry is made in the file for warning and error conditions for each file which is supported.
The actual choice of files to check is made in the parameters for the log agent in the the agents manpage configuration file.
comments preceded by a hash (#) and blank lines are allowed.
A sample is shown here:
# Solaris and others [/var/adm/messages - error] scsi .* error scsi .* fail no swap space [/var/adm/messages - warning] WARNING: # sulog needs +r permission for this to [/var/adm/sulog - error] SU.*\\+.*-root$ [/var/adm/sulog - warning] [end] Do Not Remove
Any number of patterns can be added for each file, and any number of file entries can be made. Wildcards are supported in file/dir names to search multiple files.
